Pat The Broker is a Real Estate professional and self-empowerment enthusiast. Under Pat’s leadership, in June 2004, Keller Williams Preferred Properties (KWPP), opened its doors with 28 agents in Upper Marlboro, Maryland. As the broker/owner, Pat has grown the single office brokerage, to over 500 agents. To date, the office has closed over $1 billion dollars in sales and profit shared more than $2million dollars with its associates. Recently, KWPP listed nationally in Real Trends 500 Rankings, in three categories, Top Movers by Transaction Percentage, Top Five Year Movers by Transaction Percentage, and Top Five Year Movers by Volume Percentage. 2017 Keller Williams Preferred Properties ranked #48 in profit for all of Keller Williams' market centers.Pat is a native Washingtonian, and a long time resident of Fort Washington, MD located in Prince George’s County. She leads the day-to-day operations of the 500+ brokerage (market center) and is the key to the market center’s success. Pat has 27 years of real estate experience, and is licensed in Maryland, DC, and VA. She began her career as a real estate agent in 1991 with ERA Nyman Realty and has successfully managed offices for Coldwell Banker Stevens and Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage. Pat has won numerous sales and leadership awards, including the PGCAR Distinguished Sales Club, and Keller Williams Realty International “Black Belt Recruiter”. 

 

Pat is a member of Prince George’s County, Greater Capital Area, Northern Virginia and Southern Maryland Association of Realtors and the National Association of Real Estate Brokers (NAREB).  Pat has served on numerous Real Estate Board committees, including chairing the PGCAR Legislative committee. Currently, Pat serves as the PGCAR Grievance committee. Additionally, she is a long standing Board member of the Foundation of Applied Technology for Students (FACTS). FACTS is a non-profit organization made up of members of the business community who work directly with Prince George’s County Public Schools to provide students with hands-on training for careers in the construction trades. The annual culmination of the program is a Student Built house. All proceeds of the sale are used for the continuance of the program. 

 

Pat is extremely committed to community service. Pat, and the KWPP associates have participated in many philanthropic activities, including building homes for Habitat for Humanity, helped to refurbish local homeless women’s shelters, provided over 90 college scholarships for local high school students, distributed over 30,000 dictionaries to local elementary school students, and regularly host free homeowner education and financial literacy classes for a local 501(C3) HUD approved counseling agency. Over the last four years KWPP has partnered with Heart of American to transform the elementary public school libraries in Prince George's County. This partnership includes an monetary donation raised by the KWPP associates, and many hours of hands on labor. To date KWPP has transformed four libraries, Capital Heights Elementary, Seat Pleasant Elementary, District Heights, and Barnaby Manor. May of 2019, KWPP will transform the library of William Bean Elementary. KWPP associates of raised $125,000.00 towards the library project. Community Service is a cornerstone of Pat’s business philosophy.

 

Pat holds a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Speech Pathology from Howard University, is a member of Mt. Ennon Baptist Church, an avid reader, and is a Blue Ribbon Prince Georges County Fair award winner for her “Almost Famous” chocolate chip cookies. She enjoys time at home with her husband of thirty five years Clint Long, and visiting her artist daughter Lindsay Lee Long at her home in Brooklyn, New York.
